# Planning and Optimization FAQ

> Answers to common questions about recommendations, scenarios, timing, budget allocation, and optimization confidence.

## Overview

## What is the difference between Spend Headroom and Budget Recommendations?

Spend Headroom helps you understand where additional spend may still be productive.

Budget Recommendations turns model logic into a recommended allocation view.

## What is the difference between Scenario Planner and Budget Recommendations?

Budget Recommendations is the model-led recommendation view.

Scenario Planner is the user-led what-if environment for testing different conditions and budget setups.

## What is Opportunity Days for?

Opportunity Days helps answer when spend is most likely to work harder, not where it should go.

## What should I check before acting on a recommendation?

Check:

* model trust in [Proof Report](/using-provalytics/proof-report)
* business impact in [Incrementality Report](/using-provalytics/incrementality-report)
* campaign detail in [Campaign Performance](/using-provalytics/campaign-performance)
* timing and channel behavior where relevant

## Why would I not simply move budget to the most efficient-looking channel?

Because a highly efficient channel may be too small to matter, may already be near saturation, or may mostly capture demand created elsewhere.

## Why do timing reports matter for planning?

Because channels do not all respond on the same timeline. If you expect immediate payoff from a slower-converting channel, you can make the wrong decision too early.
