# Google Analytics 4 connector

## Overview

Provalytics uses a Windsor-backed Google Analytics 4 connector when GA4 is the source for website activity, conversion activity, or both.

## What it is used for

GA4 can help supply:

* website sessions or visits
* conversion activity
* related site behavior metrics used in reporting or modeling

## When it is a good fit

Use the GA4 connector when:

* GA4 is the primary website measurement source
* owned-site traffic should be modeled alongside media inputs
* conversion or event activity needs a recurring source

## Why it matters

Website and conversion data are critical because Provalytics does not only measure media inputs. It also needs the business outcomes those inputs are trying to move.

GA4 is often one of the main sources for that owned-site signal.
