Overview

Validation is not a footnote in Provalytics. It is an ongoing discipline. A model can produce outputs. That does not automatically mean those outputs deserve trust.

What validation protects

Validation helps answer:
  • Do the modeled relationships generalize?
  • Are predictions staying close enough to reality?
  • Are coefficient relationships stable enough to support decisions?

How the framework thinks about it

From the modeling framework, validation is continuous rather than one-time. The goal is stable, interpretable, operationally useful estimation of incremental media impact. That is why Provalytics treats predicted-vs-actual behavior, holdout performance, and refresh-over-refresh stability as part of model confidence rather than an afterthought.
